healing body & transformation small group
Due: March 29th 2019
This is a small group led by Katelyn Song and devon de Leña. This healing group comes from the lineage of Generative Somatics. Somatics is a body-based healing methodology centered in building more agency, connection and resilience to move people towards personal and collective transformation. We have a commitment to bringing healing to POC, young folks, queer-identified folks, womxn and people working in social and environmental movements. We believe deeply in all people having access to healing.
Dates: April 15th-June 24th, no group May 27th
Time: 6:30-8:30PM // Due to the depth of the work we ask all participants to commit to all ten sessions.
Location: Japanese Community and Cultural Center: 1414 S Weller St, Seattle, WA 98144
This course will:
Grow a deeper sense of what you care about and make a commitment towards your healing
Develop an understanding of how trauma and oppression shape us, and how we can heal and transform in the face of them
Cultivate body-centered practices for deepening into mutual connection, deep emotions, resilience and sustainable transformation
Bear witness to a group of peers in their own healing and transformation
Cost: We have a sliding scale of $800-1300 ($80/$130 per 2 hr session + additional 1:1 support) for the 10 week course. We have a commitment to making the group accessible for participants and facilitators. We have (2) scholarship spots and payment plans available, please note it in your application or contact us if you have questions.
